The guy I’ve been seeing and I are both in our 20s and gay men. We’ve been going out about 2 months and have seen each other regularly in this time. We normally catch up via text on days we don’t see each other in person, and we never go more than 1-2 days without talking. Him and I spent the weekend together and everything was fine and normal and he even said “see you soon” as he kissed me goodbye and we texted more a bit that night after he got home and he mentioned it would be a slow week since he was originally supposed to be on a trip that got canceled last minute. On Monday I got no response to my text asking to make plans for later in the week and asking how his day was, no response on Tuesday either. Wednesday he mentioned the week was busy and that he already had plans to see a friend that night and then said nothing else when I followed up asking if he’d rather aim for the weekend or early next week since he’s busy. Thursday he said we could do something on the weekend but he was waiting to confirm plans with the same male friend from Wednesday. I asked which friend since I know most of his friends and I was mostly just curious and I wasn’t really thinking much about it. He then ignored the question and a few hours later said he could see me this weekend just not Saturday night because that night him and the unnamed friend are getting dinner together. I don’t want to get worried over nothing, but this is uncharacteristic behavior of him and I find it odd that he’s avoiding my questions which were mainly just for conversation, I wasn’t really trying to pry. To me though it seems like he may be seeing someone else?
Tl;Dr guy I’ve been dating has a new unnamed friend he’s been making plans with the same week he suddenly started being less communicative with me. Should I be worried or am I just reading into it?
