Is a month long enough to know if you want to be with someone?

So I (29f) was seeing a guy (31m) up until about a month ago. I genuinely liked everything about him, he’s super caring, sweet, thoughtful, all the good stuff. We got along well and enjoyed each other’s company but eventually I realized we didn’t actually have that much in common and that conversation didn’t flow as easily as I hoped. So I made a rash decision and ended things. I told him we didn’t have much in common and that I thought it best we didn’t continue pursuing each other. He wasn’t happy with my decision but accepted it and we bid each other farewell. A month later I find myself still thinking about him sometimes and I can’t help but wonder if I made too quick a decision? I’ve been feeling like I want to reach out to him but not sure.

We had seen each other about a just over a month and gone on about 7 dates. Do you guys think a month ish or 7 dates should be enough to figure out if two people could be together? Or should I just let it be and leave him alone?
