Why so many people build theories about personal flaws (narcissist, can’t commit, trust/childhood issues etc) of a person who is simply not interested in them?

My question is just as simple as the title - I love the subreddit, read it a lot and just come across the same scenario all the time: two people meet, one of them is interested (usually female), relationship does not happen, OP posts how come. And after that we see all kind of ideas, such as

1) he likes you too much and afraid of it 2) narcissist can’t help himself 3) bad childhood can’t commit 4) you were too good to him he just can’t believe his blessing so run away

Etc etc etc. From my experience, if a guy is interested he will go through hell and back but find a way to try being with you. Why is it so hard just to accept the most obvious explanation - he does not like you that much, and that’s fine. Move on. Not everyone likes you, but there will be someone ahead who will?
