I (17M) have recently started taking dance classes and I found there a nice girl there as a dancing partner. She is very pretty, solid dancer and overall seems like an nice person. I've been thinking of asking her to a date, but I have 2 problems I need help with.
Firstly, I feel like I can never find an opening to actually talk with her. We can't talk while dancing and during the pauses when the other half of the class dances, she talks with her friends.
Secondly, even if I had a chance, I can be pretty socially awkward around new people - especially girls - and I don't know, how would I actually ask her on a date without it sounding awkward - like what do I say? I don't even know that much about her (because, as said above, I never really had a chance for a small talk), except her name and that she is still in middle school (same as me).
How can I start a conversation with her and ask her out or at least get her number without it sounding awkward?
Edit: I should prob also mention that I've never dated someone, don't know how this works and am pretty scared of her saying no.
