Ok, so I do have some questions about using dating apps. Does anyone really have success with these things. Me (38M) stepped back into the dating world last year before I met someone - through friends. But before that I tried all the dating apps, and had ZERO luck. In months didn't even go on a date. I have a great HS friend (always been single and is a good looking girl) that we set up her profile at the same time. Within 24 hrs she had almost 200 matches. Me - 2.
I tend to be able to date really easily in real life. But there is definitely something about the apps that is different. And it appears most girls are looking for 6-6-6. So I am only about 5'8", make some where's in the 3-400k/year, and have the other attributes as well as being physically fit. Looks wise, better than average.
So is it just me or when it comes to the apps almost all women want the same dude based on over 6ft and looks? My buddy, who is a "social media marketer" who is tall, good looking, but broke as hell seems to get a lot of attention. (haha ladies he falls short in more than one area of the 6-6-6) but he does have a 6 pack. He hasn't had a steady girl friend for over 10 years...
So what are women really looking for? Why is dating on the apps so different than in person for you?
