I've really improved at asking open-ended questions and at listening during first dates. Overall, I think this builds for rapport and more interesting conversation though I definitely could improve at adding my humor to the conversation.
Where do I go from here to build attraction? Right now, I probably leave her with a "we get along" vibe instead of a "I'm attracted to him" vibe. It seems like most girls I go on a first date with don't want a second date/to hang out again unless they felt a "spark," but that seems really unnatural to me (i.e. odd to already be sparking on the first date when I am just getting to know you). I use touch, but mostly light touches on the knee when or arm during a joke or while talking about something I am passionate about.
TLDR: Having good conversations, how can I escalate from "we get along" to leave a more romantic impression?
