I (27M) have little dating experience, and am very inept when it comes to interpeting my feelings or navigating relationships. I have been talking with a girl I met on a dating site for close to two weeks now. The other day we had our first "face to face" meeting with a video-chat date. We get along well, she's nice to talk to, I think she's attractive. The problem is, I don't know if I really feel any spark, any romantic chemistry. I previously tried to test the waters by being a little flirty, to see how well we meshed in that sense, but she ignored it (whether that's because she didn't pick up on it or conciously looked past it, I can't say). Our conversations have been very casual. Inoffensive, but lacking the kind of emotional depth I would expect from a good match.
I don't really know what this means. Does the fact that I'm not feeling a spark at this point mean that I should probably call it off? Or is that not as important as I believed, and I should hold out to see if something more develops? Any perspectives are welcome.
