How soon after she breaks up should i wait to ask her out?

So I (M21) decided to reach out to a friend (F20) of mine this past week, I’m really attracted to her, and she told me that she broke up with her boyfriend yesterday, This is the second time our paths have crossed following a break up (quite the coincidence, sic volvere parcas you might say), i was gonna ask her out last time, but I didn’t want to approach too soon, and as a result i missed my chance, how soon should i wait? I’m a bit worried about asking too soon because she is a bit shy and can get scared off pretty easily
