We’ve been dating for a little over a year, spending the past few months of lockdown together. He told me that he cares about me a lot and if I don’t object, he wants to give it a bit more time. He said that he had really strong feelings pre-covid, but covid added a lot to the stress level (he was laid off) and he wasn’t really himself for the past few months. For the past few weeks we’ve been trying to carve out some alone time, free from work stress et al.
On one hand, I really see a future in this relationship and believe him to be genuine instead of trying to string me along. On the other hand, almost all the advice I read told me that waiting is usually not worth it. Is “being laid off” a legit reason for someone to rethink his romantic feelings? Can someone kindly slap some senses into my head? Thanks!!
