I (22f) met this guy (23m) off tinder some weeks ago and we talked on the app for a while before giving him my number. We hit it off pretty well, similar interests and hobbies. He replies pretty quickly and while I never minded how other people take a while, it was definitely nice. Don’t know if this would count as “lovebombing” but he’d often tell me I’m cute and how he’d love to take me out on dates if it weren’t for covid; I saw this as a bit of a red flag but I wanted to give him a shot. There are a few things at the back of my mind that bugged me and maybe they’re surfacing now—like not getting good morning texts, doesn’t ask questions about me as a person, and briefly brought up an ex when I didn’t ask
We facetimed for the first time a few days ago. Ended up watching some shows on Netflix, but maybe this wasn’t such a good idea because it’s kind of like watching a movie on a first in-person date?
Afterwards he texted me saying he enjoyed talking and seeing me, thanked me for spending time with him; the usual courteous stuff. I should also add this happened in the evening so I also thanked him, said good night, and he even bothered to reply “have a great night”
The next day I sent a good morning text but he took a while to respond. He said he just overslept, and of course I said that’s fine. He always had his read receipts on and my last text shows as delivered. Felt guilty for checking his activity on tinder; we were still matched after I gave my number but after our date he unmatched with me.
It’s only been a day since but should I text him again or cut my losses?
