Is it strange or bad for a guy to think of a girl he is dating with the mindset of "besides looks, what does she bring to the table for me"

I am not sure if the time properly explains what exactly I am trying to say so I will try and elaborate a little bit more.

So one thing that I always found attractive in women when dating her was what does she bring to the table for me?

What I mean by that is,

-Is she on the same intellectual wavelength as me?

-Does she have her shit together?

-Does she have a career or is she just coasting by?

-Do I consider her my equal?

I know that traditionally speaking, the man has always seen as the provider of the family, and I understand that, but I find it very attractive when a girl I am dating has her shit together and also has a good career. Not trying to say that money is the only thing that matters here, but knowing a girl has her shit together and is just as independent as I am.

I've dated girls in the past where, yes I was sexually attracted to them, but looking at all the checkboxes, I just didn't see them checking those boxes. In a sense, I almost felt like I would be carrying them around like a crutch and that has always felt strange to me. I like knowing that I am in a relationship with a girl where if the chips are down, we can work it out together and I'm not just the one who is always taking the lead or is the main provider. We can brainstorm and figure out how to deal with our shit and she is just as capable of making big decisions as I am.

From a female perspective, I would really appreciate your thoughts on this. To put it in other words, I sort of like dating a girl where I know she is capable of making her own decisions and can take the lead also. It's not just me relying on being the backbone of the family.

TIA!
