Hello, I'm new here and I just want to know your opinion about my longtime crush since I was 15 years old.
I met him around 2009 or 2010 when we attended a friend's birthday. We were juniors in highschool that time. We didn't really talk that much during the party but we knew each other's name. Few months later, my friends and I walked past by our schoolmate's house where he was hanging out. My schoolmate called me and introduced us again. I told him I already knew him. He texted me that night, he said he got my number from our friend. He's my type and he's actually flirting with me too but I didn't gave in because their group has a reputation of tricking girls into falling in love with them. We continued talking for awhile but we never really went pass that. There are some sweet gestures from him, he asked me if I can be his "love" but I was too afraid to gave in because my friends also said that I shouldn't be involved with him. We talked and became sweet to each other without discussing what we really are. We're like that for 3 years....
We stopped talking to each other on 2013 because I've been in a relationship. We broke up on 2015, I had a new partner in 2016. And in 2017, he already had a girlfriend, in 2019 they welcomed their first child.
I want to ask for your opinion, do you think he was sincere on that 3 whole years? Did I really missed my chance of having a relationship to my longterm crush? Or did I make a right decision of not giving in?
I really want to know if what he showed me is real but I don't want to ask him since he aleeady has a family.
