I met a woman on a dating web sight and had been talking for few days. Come to find out we live in the same small town in Kansas and we live 3 minutes apart. (I have only lived in Kansas a year) Yesterday after work around 4 pm we started texting, we both wanted to meet each other so we kicked around some ideas of where to go, and agreed on a place near our houses for drinks at 930. We exchanged texts the whole time we were showering and getting ready. We texted each other as we were walking out the door . I told her what I was wearing so she would know who to look for, she sent a selfie of her dressed up siting in her car. I arrived went in and waited near the door for her. After a few minutes I get a text asking where I was so I answered . She stated she was at one other places very near by we were thinking of going. She said she would come to me and was on her way. A few minutes later I get another txt asking where I was. I told her I was waiting in the breeze way for her and it was very cold out side. I figured she was parking and on her way in. After about 5 min I texted her and she did not respond. Then I tried to call and she did not answer. I could see that she had read my text messages, but no communication back. So I sat at the bar had two beers and headed home. By the way when I was younger we use to call this type of thing getting stood up. I'm 41 and had never done that to any one or had it done to me. I'm so confused on what went wrong. Did she see me and was repulsed and headed for the hills or just get cold feet. I have not tried reaching out to her and not sure if I should. Being we live in a small town I'm sure we will cross paths some day. I've never been in this position before and it sucks. And advise you can offer is welcome.
