so i had an interesting end to a second date last night. the context is this woman and i had met for drinks a few weeks back. after a fun three hour conversation, i picked up the tab. she followed up a few weeks later to ask about getting together for dinner. i said sure thing & swung by a chill spot for shots, beers, and small plates.
we had another fun couple hours of conversation and were talking about heading to drinks after dinner at a nearby bar. the check came and i suggested we split it, at which point she took the check and said she’ll handle it. i thought to myself - how kind.
we then left and her demeanor did a quick 180 and she said she’d prefer to head home.
