This all starts a little while back, I was in a relationship with a girl from high school and we dated for 4+ years. She was really my only girlfriend. Around a year ago we broke up due to LDR. I don’t have much experience dating because I was with her for so long.
I finally started to get back into the dating scene recently. I downloaded Bumble and Tinder and got plenty of matches. I have set up dates for each weekend for the last 5 weekends. Each time right before we go the date she has something going on. I haven’t really thought anything of it until today. I was on the way of meeting this girl and something came up. I’m a pretty passive person but this has really made me not want to date at all and give up.
I believe that is becoming transparent that I am the problem. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I’m not into hookups. I’m not as aggressive as other guys with going on the date. I plan out the whole date and insure them that I’m going to pay. For example my last date was to go paint pottery, then mini golf, and to end the date at a restaurant. I’ve also tried doing simple dates like just grabbing some coffee.
My question is am I doing something wrong? Why am I constantly being stood up? I’m progressively losing motivation in dating.
