Met a girl in a club the other night, can I just text and ask for a date or do I still have to go through all the preamble and useless conversation?

Hello

So I was with my friend and we met this girl, she seemed really interested in me and we were together for ages.

Problem is, after being in a club its hard to know if it was all just drunk fun on one discrete night and should be taken no further?

I wanted to just message and ask if she wants to go on a date, without having to go through all the normal stuff like a week of messaging / askin questions etc.
