So basically I matched with a guy on bumble and we talked for a bit before he asked me out. I just got out of a relationship and when he asked me out, I was feeling like I wasn’t really ready to date quite yet and I probably shouldn’t have been on dating apps. So I was honest and told him that I just went through a breakup and wasn’t quite ready but would like to continue talking if he was ok with that and he was cool about it. So we’ve been talking for a month now but just texting every few days. I finally decided to ask him out again and he agreed to meet me for drinks or coffee but wanted to be clear that it would just be as friends because he’s started seeing someone else. I don’t know how to respond to that because I did mean it as a date and I don’t know if I want to just meet him as friends because I feel like it would just feel like a date considering how we started talking. Any advice? How should I respond? Or maybe it’s not that weird and I should just meet him as friends?
