FOLLOW-UP on going on a date after 4 years of loneliness (Deep disappointment)

Last week, we were supposed to go on a Saturday, and just before I wanted to start the final preparation, she texted me and said "I've got a fever, sorry, I can't go.", and I was of course a bit sad, but said (to myself) "sure, this could happen to anyone, it's okay".

She insisted, that it was nothing worrying, and that she is still excited to go out with me. It was a calm few days, then we started talking again, I made some jokes about fever, we had a laugh, and yesterday, she wrote "No, this is 100 %, we are going out tomorrow, I am really excited :) ".

So I was pretty excited too, I mean, gee, finally, right? So I took a shower, shaved, put on some nice clothes and went. We were supposed to meet at the train station in a nearby town, like 7 miles from me. And on my way to the bus stop, it started.

I had the insight to check my messages for the last time halfway to the bus stop, and there it was.

Ahem... XY?" "Well, you know, um... there's a family celebration going on and I have to go visit my aunt... so we can still go, but I will be late. Possibly 30 minutes, 1 hour tops.

I didn't take it well, of course, because, what the hell, if there was something like this going on, she should have let me know by now. So I wrote "Well, you know, if you don't want to, just screw it, I'll stay at home, I don't want to freeze in there."

AGAIN, SHE INSISTED:

Oh no no, we can still go out and I wanna, and you can still catch the late bus home, right?

I agreed. We finalized the deal, I took the bus. And waited, waited, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, went to get something to eat and drink, 30 minutes, 40 minutes, I was freezing because it was 0 degrees outside, 50 minutes, 1 hour.

Not only did she not show up, but it's radio silence. She hasn't blocked me or anything, she has just gone quiet.

And I am deeply disappointed, because this wasn't just some girl from a shady dating site, no. I knew, or at least thought I knew, what this girl was about, what she stood for, but no. Turns out, I was wrong, and she is just another little b!7ch that I will now hate for the rest of my life.

I was already a person with trust issues, and this was just about what I needed, the final nail in the coffin. I think I'm just about done with dates for another few years, if it's gonna end up like this, why even bother. Why be nice and care and try to talk and help with problems. I'm done.

Also, do really people have nothing better to do than this? To bait someone out to get a laugh? Why put so much time and effort into it like this one, and heavily insist on it, play with someone's emotions, is it really so much fun? Cheez...

And no, I'm not taking any excuses, this was total BS from her side. She could have let me know a thousand times, but no. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice and hate will rise.

PS: When she does eventually respond (or blocks me, but I will find a way), she is going to get some juicy words :)
