Hey guys, i asked a girl on a second date after a good first date. Weve been texting frequently and she still seems interested in me, she asks questions and responds to my stories which u don’t have to do.
For context were both 19 in dif unis. Shes never dated before so idk if the usual rules apply. We met on tinder, but shes definitely a more introverted type, I am as well.
I asked her to go ice skating for this sunday, and after working out the time and the place, she said “That works perfect because I have dance practice on saturday! ☺️”
We both said “see you there ☺️” back to each other so I was thinking 95% this was on.
Then, yesterday she texted me “Hey (name), im really sorry to keep doing this (I asked her last weekend but she had a midterm on the weekend) but I have an essay due on Monday that I havent started yet so I can’t go ice skating tomorrow :( im trying really hard to get good grades this year and its not going well :/ hopefully my time will free up but honestly im a workaholic so im not sure if it will 😬”
I honestly dont know how this situation could have flipped 180 so quickly. Maybe she didnt have any interest in me in the first place. What should I respond to this cancellation with? Should I leave the ball in her court and move on?
