So I really don't have much dating experience, but a few weeks ago I asked out this girl that I have been crushing on for a little while. We haven't really spoken that much in person before. She said yes to a date and we are finally going to be going out later tonight. We have been communicating a little here and there over text but we don't really know much about each other besides some little details. She is interested in going on a date for sure, but at this point it seems she is in that neutral zone of interest, which is fair because we don't know each other yet, really.
I know first dates are sort of awkward in general, but how can I make things less awkward? Again, I don't really know this girls level of interest in me so I'm not sure how to go about things when it comes to what is exceptionable for flirtation etc. Should I hug her when I first see her? What should I do at the end of the date? We are going to a sports bar and she already insisted that she would love to get wings and beer. Which means sticky fingers, so I don't know how any touch can come into play, and I assume we will be sitting across from one another.
