I personally find that leading someone on is extremely selfish. You’re basically abusing your power over them by getting them more and more attached, and then suddenly yanking it all away.
For some reason, I feel like I’m alone in this thought. Most of my friends say that it’s common and I’m making a big deal out of this.
Am I though? I feel like it’s just part of being a decent human being to not lead someone on and be honest with them. Sure, you can change your mind. But communicate that then. For example, I’ve had cases where the guy has shown interest (sending me DMs, suggestive snapchats, etc), and then rejects me by saying he never saw me in that light and that I imagined things.
I’m not salty about being rejected. Happens to all of us. I’m angry about the whole “imaging things”.
