This may be long, but hopefully it will help people on here. I (33M) have been on and off dating for a while now. I didn't start dating until after college. I've only had one relationship. When I was much younger, I went with the flow and never pushed for anything. I was comfortable with some time between dates as I have a pretty good social life. Honestly I know that sounds odd, but the connection were growing back then. Unfortunately, I just stopped things for one reason or another. Recently I took "advice" from people that looking back was pretty bad and honestly cost me some possible relationships.
My advice; don't listen to the outsiders. Go with what is going on between you and who you are dating. If certain things aren't happening a x amount of dates but you are still enjoying each other's company, then don't worry about it. I made the mistake of forcing things and I really regret it. Do what you feel comfortable. If the person you are seeing can't accept that, then you haven't found the right person.
I'm sure this has been posted before, but really think about what I am saying. I wish all of you happiness. Know you are worth being loved and loving someone.
