Ok, so I [17m] am going the second year of highschool. Because of some shit that happened in my past, I have been very socially withdrawn and didn't know anyone when I started at my high school. So about 2 months before summer break last year I noticed I had a crush on this girl I've been hanging out with [17f]. It wasn't just us, but rather like me and 3 other girls. I also hang with some of the other dudes in my class from time to time but this girl I have a crush on and her friend are the ones I usually hang with.
So, I've been really considering whether asking this girl out since summer break, but I've been scared to do so because I don't want to risk making things awkward if she says no or it doesn't work out (which isn't mentioning me having no idea what to do on a date in the first place, which I'll get back to). So if there's any advice you can give about me not wanting to mess up a friendship over this would be much appreciated.
