So I’m in a conundrum. I’ve been refusing to date for the last couple of years because I’m still very much in love with an ex who doesn’t reciprocate. I’ve had plenty of chances, but it just didn’t feel right to try to date someone when I can’t really put everything into it since part of my heart is still elsewhere. My friends have been pushing me to move on for awhile, which I’ve dragged my feet on. But recently someone I really trust told me I won’t ever heal until I put myself out there again, and this really sweet girl I used to work with has been flirting pretty heavily with me. I like her and I could see her being a good partner, in just afraid that I’ll end up hurting her if I find I can’t move on. Should I give this a shot?
