I feel like times have changed...all you see now are the “baddie” girls who are always super confident, and it seems that’s the ideal. That’s who men want, that’s who they marry. I’m more of the shy, quiet type and I don’t think that’s the same thing as lacking confidence, it’s just, well, I don’t feel the need to be a “bad bitch.” I live my life, don’t share too much of myself on the gram (it just got exhausting after a while because I don’t feel the need to “pose like a model” with a really cool background and a witty caption, wearing a super fashionable outfit all the time...everyone just acts like they’re “it” 24/7...is that how we are supposed to be?). Like if you don’t have an attitude, you know the kind I’m talking about, you’re just meh and unattractive. Idk I’m personally more of the shy, sweet natured type, but it’s hard not to feel like I should be more like those girls. Everywhere I hear messages like “men want a woman who challenges him,” and I’m like well I’m an open book :/
I feel like at least as a woman, now it’s all about how flashy you are and “look at me!” all the time and it’s tiring. I’m not a neon sign. My ideal day is painting or drawing, then chilling in sweats, drinking coffee and reading. I’m not always out there looking to see the coolest places or take the most expensive, exotic vacations. I love going to the gym and staying in shape but I’m not posting myself in a luxe athleisure outfit to show off my figure for example. I want someone who makes the effort to get to know me, not just see everything about me on social media. Are there guys out there who are still into the “girl next door” kind of vibe?
