I (M23) met this girl (21) about half a year ago at a family friend’s party. While everyone was dancing and talking, we stepped out of the house and walked around trying to know each other. I thought we had a genuine conversation. The girl is not smokin hot but she’s good looking and can talk about more than the weather while keeping things interesting. I thought I would give it a shot and asked for her number.
Fast forward a week later, I ask her to “hang out” and was confident (per our last meeting) that she would be down. She gave a vague answer about being busy but didn’t suggest a different time. A couple days later I figured she might have changed her mind and I deleted her number, moving on with my life.
I was a bit confused because I made my intentions clear while asking for her number that I would like us to go out and she seemed to be into me then. At the time I was dating around and starting my first professional job, so I didn’t agonize about the whole thing. I’ve hooked up a bit since but nothing permanent... I’m not looking for a committed relationship.
HERE IS THE TWIST: Last night she texted me and reintroduced herself (I didn’t have her number anymore) and said “we should have dinner together sometime.” Lol
What should I do?
