I’m rejected for being too nice?

I honestly don’t really know what advice I’m looking for tbh. I feel like I’m doing things right. I’ll meet a girl, talk to her for a bit, and she seems to enjoy it and I’ll eventually ask for her number and tell her I’d love to take her out and show her a good time and the response is some form of “sorry but you seem a little too sweet. Thank you though.”

Of course I don’t get mad. I simply tell them I understand and move on. I won’t lie though it makes me feel depressed. I don’t really know what I’m doing. I’m just talking to them and gauging interest and they seem to enjoy it as they have a conversation with me.

I don’t get why I’m being called too nice. It’s just basic decency to me. I’m not going to treat a woman or just someone in general like shit for no reason. And no I don’t buy them drinks or anything like that. I’m not a doormat. I just talk to them. I really don’t get it.

Is there anything that I can improve? I work out, I wear fitted clothing and I’m huge in hygiene. My friends tell me my personality is A1 and I have hobbies to keep me busy. This has happened multiple times to me.
