I connected with an old high school classmate on bumble and we messaged back and forth for about 2 weeks constantly. We had great conversations and I thought we had a pretty good connection. He and I went on a date about two months ago and it was the best date I have ever been on. We walked downtown and had dinner. The whole date lasted 4 hours. It was amazing. He even said he had an amazing time but he kinda stopped messaging me and I didn't want to push it, so I just stopped also. I got the hint.
A month later I messaged him:
Me: Hey, if I did or said something wrong during our date, please let me know. I really enjoyed our date and you said you did as well. I just wanna know so I don't wonder. Because I really enjoyed talking to you
(Be in mind I was slightly drunk when I messaged him haha)
He then responded with a long message along the lines of:
I really enjoyed my time with you too. I haven't been on a date for a year and going on that one with you opened my eyes to where I'm at to start commitment right now. I didn't think you were interested since you didnt message me for a couple days after. I should've messaged you about where I'm at with that but I just didn't. I'm sorry.
I told it was okay and that whenever he was ready and wanted to go out again whether as friends or a date I'd be more than happy to. I've been in the same place also. We then had another great conversation where we talked until literally 1am with full messages (not like small one or two worded messages. Basically a paragraph every message). And haven't talked since yesterday when we had a great conversation about politics.
He's a great guy and I really, REALLY like him. I'm afraid if i don't say anything or ask him out again, that he will be the one that got away because he was just that amazing.
I'm not sure if he's just being nice or if he really wants to talks to me.
So.. should I message him? See how things are and if he would want to hang out again? Or should I wait a bit? Or not say anything at all?
Thank you
