Bit of a read
Quick background: I became interested in a girl I met during an online class last Summer (2020). We texted, and there were very clear signs of interest from her part as well. So, I asked her out. She said she'd love to but had a weekend vacation trip planned with her family and said we should it after finals. Finals end and I ask her out again, but she weirdly didn't reply to that text but to an earlier text in the convo. She basically ignored it which I found super weird with the signs she was giving.
I stopped talking to her, and tragedy struck our country, so she left and continued her studies abroad. We reconnected recently on social media and texted a bit. They were kinda lively, not as much as those in Summer, but the conversations always had teasing, jokes, and "energetic" replies. We stopped texting for a week, then I post a story with a girl who is my friend. The very next day she posts a picture on IG with a caption that she took from our conversation. I tease her on how she always shows her nails off in photos but make it look like it was natural or by accident. So, she told me once that she wanted to mention in her latest story (she was holding a bible upon) "haters will say she's showing off her nails" but didn't cause it didn't feel right to put it in a religious post. That exact same line was the caption to her post the very next day after I posted a story with another girl.
This was around 2 weeks ago (time of her post). At first, I didn't want to respond, not even by liking it because I thought she would need to do more than that for my attention. However, eventually, I liked it after 3 days but didnt text her or anything.
What do you guys think I should do? Should i bring it up playfully that she was calling me out with that post? Should I even have liked?
She's coming back to visit the country this Summer. Should I wait and see if she talks to me when she comes back? Cause I don't think I should ask her out fir the third time even with all the recent signs. I feel like she's hot and cold and biding her options.
