I (27F) am relatively new to dating, and I have to say that I am enjoying it. I have been on dates/hooked up with a few people, and it hasn't worked out for various reasons. BUT I am learning so much about myself and what I am looking for, and I am having fun engaging with new people. I used to be so nervous interacting with new people that I would be physically nauseous and could not eat a thing! Now I am happier and more confident in myself.
If I meet someone? Awesome. If I don't meet anyone? Also awesome.
The part that bothers me the most is the negativity I receive from family and friends (mostly those who are married). I get these kind of comments:
"But why is he single at insert age?" (Eg. What's wrong with him)
"Why are you finding dating so hard?"
"I have this mutual friend insert name who you should date, we need to find you a partner"
Anyone else having a similar experience? Anyone have any advice?
