Am I oldfashioned that I only want to have sex if I’m in a relationship first?

So while talking with friends or being on the internet I see a lot of people engaging in sex with their dates etc.

Am I the weird one that I can’t do that if I’m not in a relationship with the other person? How do you decide when to have sex with your date? Genuinely just confused and would love to see your input
