I (23F) recently started a new job in december. In order to get to the office I need to take a hour long train ride. Last monday a guy that I was in college with was waiting for the same train. He also had a new job near mine, so he travelled with me and in the evening he also took the same ride back that day.
I am a huge introvert, so I actually really enjoy sitting in the train alone with some music. This guy does not stop talking, ever. And when he asks me something, he even interrupts me during my answers. But fine, this was on monday, I can handle this for one day. When I got home he started to text me that he saved my birthday in his phone.
Well, the next day he started looking for me again, and also the ride back of course. But today he said things and asked me things that made me feel uncomfortable. He kept on mentioning that I did not react enthousiastic about him saving my birthday in his phone. And during the ride back he gave me a small bag of candy that he received at work, saying this time it is candy the next time it will be a love letter. Also he asked me if I already found a nice guy to date at work, these things just make me so uncomfortable.
Sadly I had to go to the office today again, and yes same story again. He asked me about my colleagues this morning and said, well is that your new life partner? And also I mentioned that I had a dinner at work next week with him saying, 'I misheard, I thought you said you have a date with a guy from work'.
I kinda feel miserable. How do I dodge this? I was actually thinking about taking a ride earlier or a different route. I already told him this morning that I do not take the same ride everytime just for him to stop looking for me. But besides dodging him, I also have advantages by taking an earlier ride (home earlier) and different routes (quicker). But now, he is texting me with what I am doing this weekend?
Help a girl out?
