My friend has been online dating for 2 years, she's an independent, self sufficient working single mum, doesn't want more kids, in her thirties, fun and funny, has her own place, drives, has a good job, is emotionally intelligent, educated, an ally and has boundaries about what she's looking for - someone to match what she is.
And yet she's had the worst luck and is exhausted from it all, men faking heart attacks to get out of dates but message months later, ghosting, left for a month waiting for a third date despite then speaking daily and then she's pressuring when asking when he was free, a bloke who while exclusive slept around, none of them adult enough to be straight with her about their feelings or what they're looking for.
She puts effort in and tries to understand the guff they give her as they string her along, and she just wants to find someone to spend time with have and be loved. It's heartbreaking and she loses hope with each let down of promises made.
Why is dating so difficult? What do men want from women now days??
