If we’re being honest, social media and online presence in general has been quite negative for dating. I’ve gone on dates from dating apps, but most of the time they’re not very fruitful.
How do you meet people outside? How do you muster the confidence and high self-esteem required to talk to random strangers more openly and flirtatiously? I actually want to be more sociable, but I am quite introverted and have weaker social skills. I’ve been working on trying not to be closed off as well.
My current work and hobbies does have me a bit more isolated, but one of my hobbies is bouldering. It does provide a bit more of a medium for socializing. I can make small talk, even chatted up someone while on a run in a park, but beyond that I struggle to make deeper conversation outside of texts. However, there’s been quite a few times where I did not have the courage to chat to a woman that I found attractive in such setting.
What is the best way to meet people in real life, both romantically and even just platonically?
