Hi guys,
So, I’m kind of a shy and introverted person — especially when it comes to the initial conversations. I tend to go completely blank whenever I meet a girl face-to-face for the first time, especially on a date.
Anyway, let’s get straight to the story.
I met this girl on Bumble. We started talking, and things actually went pretty well. Within a week, we were already comfortable enough to share our Instagram, WhatsApp, and Snapchat. Every morning, she’d text me a cheerful “Good morning”, and I genuinely started to look forward to it. Everything was going great — until our first date, which, looking back now, I think might’ve been a bit too soon.
When we met, as usual, my brain went blank. I didn’t know what to say or how to say it. I got a bit nervous — we talk regarding few things and have a walk together but. After I dropped her off and got home, I kept replaying everything in my head, thinking about what I could’ve done differently. It was my first-ever date, and honestly, I barely managed to talk.
But I tried to make it up later — I texted her something like, “Next time we meet, you might need to stop me from talking,” and she actually loved that message. For a while, it felt like things were back on track.
But slowly, things started to change. She stopped sending those morning texts. Her replies became shorter, less frequent. I thought maybe she was just busy — I was busy too. But then, a few days ago, she just stopped replying altogether.
When I finally asked her about it, she said, “I kinda don’t think we’re compatible, so it’s better that we don’t continue.”
And honestly, I didn’t know what to say. I still don’t. I keep wondering what went wrong — was it me being too quiet? Too nervous? Too late to open up? I’m still trying to figure it out.
What do you think went wrong?
