Slight work crush, feeling more like she's 'wife material' rather than being in love, anyone know what I mean? (M25)

Started recently at a new job, first time working in an office so I've been trying to break my old habit of saying no to every invite, lol. Ended up going to an event with a handful of the younger (my age) employees, and just the way it ended up was I spent about two hours there, mostly with the same girl (I'm kinda shy so my making friends strategy has always been to 'attach' to someone until comfortable and then branch out to the group lmao). Realized I really like talking to her, she's kind of nerdy and gets worked up into giving informative lectures, which is kind of adorable. Also the way she describes things (earnestly, not in a joking way) always makes me laugh.

Now, realistically, I know nothing will probably happen, we work in different departments, other than seeing her in the hallway that night was the only time I've really talked to her, plus I know dating coworkers can end up sucking ass. I do feel like I have a slight crush on her (there was another one of the super cute women at the office there but as the night went on I realized I still really like her, but as I got to know her she seems a bit on the weird side, while the original girl ended up becoming more endearing). I'd be a little bummed to find out she's not single, but I wouldn't be devastated or anything, and I'd still like to be friends with her. It's more like, on paper she fits everything (slightly younger than I am, smart, funny, I like listening to her, she's cute, sweet, etc) but I know realistically I don't know her that well and it's not like we have an amazing bond or anything after one night. Kinda like 'the chance to date her would be amazing but right now I would be almost just as satisfied with being friends' if that makes sense?

Anyone know what I mean? I guess this is more venting than asking for advice, but the other thing I was going to make a thread about ended up resolving itself lol
