Guys don’t care about education / job in a potential partner

Maybe it’s my age, or maybe it’s where I live, but the guys I seem to date or run into don’t really care about a potential partners education or career path. Just for context, I’m 22 years old living in the west coast.

I’ve noticed this in several instances in my life. Whenever I ask my guy friends or potential guys I’m dating, all they say is their ‘type’ is physical features and a nice personality. (It’s usually more physical feature oriented though). I knew this one guy who was very educated, pretty good looking, who ended up dating a girl who didn’t have a job or any motivation in life. They got married really quick and divorced just as fast. She took half of his money, and now is living carefree. It just baffled me

Guys I’ve dated never really cared about my education or what I did in life. I’m a CS major and am really ambitious to have a strong career path and be financially stable. No guy I’ve met really complemented that aspect of my life or even was impressed about it. It’s always complements about my physical features (which is absolutely nice as well!).

So question for you guys,

Do you guys care about a girl’s education and ambition in her career. Does looks always overpower intelligence? Do you guys find intelligent women attractive?
