I've been talking to a wonderful woman, and things are going great and are leading towards a real relationship. One thing I appreciate is that she doesn't mind when I bring up my ex, I usually do this to talk about why I don't like certain things or maybe to explain why I have some of the insecurities I do. Anyway the other day I saw a few posts talking about Green flags to look for when dating. Pretty much all of them were things we have. But there was one I wasn't so sure about. It said "speaking about thier ex with respect/respectfully". While I don't go out of my way to call my ex names and bag on her all the time. I definitely don't try to be respectable when speaking about her. But she cheated one me 2 times and was abusive. So I guess my question is, is it really a red flag for me to not speak respectfully of my ex even tho she treated me so badly.
