For the past four months, I have been texting non-stop with this one girl. Our conversations seem effortless, and we would have a blast every time we talk. The thing is, I was always the one to initiate the conversation. She never once texted me first, but she would still enthusiastically reply. Recently, that's taken a toll on me and I figured maybe she isn't into me if she wouldn't text back, so I've stopped texting her as I used to and we haven't had a good conversation in at least a week. Though my friend, who I asked this very topic about, said not to text her and see if she responds since that would supposedly show if she was interested, a part of me feels like this is the wrong thing to do. I don't want to be playing hard to get, which is kind of what it feels like, and I don't want her feeling bad about herself since I suddenly stopped texting as much. I don't know what the right decision to make is, because I also don't want to come off as needy or desperate and have to text her first every single time.
