There’s a guy I’m really into and I want to ask advice on whether asking him out will end in disappointment based on the following backstory:
We met through work about 2 years ago. We live in different cities but worked together twice in this time and met twice due to this. Second time I saw him I clicked he was quite attractive and also seemed like a really fun person.
A month ago I was in his city on holiday, I went to visit his workplace and we had a drink after he finished working, but it was most definitely a friendly meetup. Since then I’ve been trying to interact with him more, mainly replying to his instagram stories, he’s got a great sense of humour so it’s really nice to chat. I’ve done some slight flirting which he seems responsive to. I’m worried I’m texting him too much (is every couple days too much?), sometimes he would read my message and reply the next day.
He mentioned about a week ago he might be coming to my city “soon”. I really want to ask him out on an actual date (I did hint at it at the time) but I don’t want to push him away doing that. I am aware I’m overthinking this but since we don’t know each other too well and he seems like a genuinely nice guy, I don’t want to lose the connection just because I’m attracted to him.
