Hey y’all, I know there’s a LOT of posts on here about cancelled dates. I have searched & read through a lot of them. I just wanna get a feel for the best way to proceed for my situation. Thank you so much!
I (33F) was approached in person by a slightlyyy younger gentleman, while out & about running errands earlier this month. He was very complimentary to me, and asked for my number on the spot. I was honestly IMPRESSED with his confidence, how smooth he was about it, and it was really a turn on!
Here is the order of events:
1) Started texting; we quickly scheduled a date together.
2) He cancelled the date the DAY OF, due to supposedly being ill.
3) I said no worries, and explicitly told him that I’d leave it up to him to reschedule.
4) Around 2.5 weeks passed since the cancellation.
5) During the past 2.5 weeks, he has made minimal effort for conversation. He complimented the way I looked in one of my Instagram stories, and one of my messages was even left on Read for many days.
6) He NOW randomly messages me and says: “So… do you still wanna try to hang out?”
Like… ARE YOU SERIOUS, DUDE? I personally feel disrespected, *but I also can’t tell if I’m overreacting.* The reason it feels irritating, is because he’s asking ME to re invest effort in him, after he cancels and lets all momentum drift by the wayside. Thoughts on whether I should give this another shot or not? Thanks again, all!
