So I just started dating a guy that is very sweet, funny, and kind but the only thing that throws me off is how proud he is. He is a police officer and constantly talks about his job nonstop. He also insists that i see his gun and hold it. I always tell him that I don’t want to and I feel uncomfortable holding it due to past trauma. When I tell him that he then drops the subject. Another time he was telling me how many arrests and what kind arrests he got and I just looked him and was like “oh, that’s great”. He responded with “that’s it”? I didn’t know what else to say...should’ve i said “wow, that amazing...here’s a cookie!” Lol all jokes aside, he’s a nice guy but it can get quite annoying. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?
