I’m a 27y/o bisexual woman living in a suburb of San Diego where there isn’t too much going on. I am an unemployed student, but I’m spending my free time doing volunteer work for a youth arts program. So money is tight /:
I’m having trouble dating now that I’ve sworn off apps (tinder came out when I was 17, so this is the first time in my adult life) and boy oh boy—
So, I know I’m not going out of the house very much— and as someone who is sober, it’s not like I can go out alone to a bar. And as someone who has always fundamentally hated sports: no I’m not joining a volleyball team to meet people, I would rather die.
I am super interested in fashion (thrifting, sewing, embroidery, recent runways), and I enjoy calm, peaceful outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, snorkeling, and stargazing, but obviously none of these are team activities, so finding a group is much more difficult (unless you’re looking for a group of retirees on facebook). I also love movies, and I’ve been part of a few movie clubs my friends ran in LA (no such luck finding similar here.) I would run my own club in my home if I lived in my own space, but I’m at my parents, and my dad has truly crushing paranoia about people in the house.
So? Any tips?
