I'm 24M. I confessed my feelings to a girl I've known online for about a year. She told me she sees me as a friend, said she had very small feelings at some point, and also said, "Even if feelings come now, I won't allow them." I told her I'd probably need distance because I can't stay just friends. Instead of letting things end, she called me for almost 2 hours, opened up about her fear of abandonment, said she's emotionally closed off these days, and then said: "Let's meet once. If something changes after meeting, I'll tell you." Now she's invited me to visit her (12-hour train journey), we've planned an entire day together, she's suggesting cafes, sunrise, etc. I'm confused because her words and actions seem to point in different directions. From an outside perspective: Is she genuinely confused? Is she exploring compatibility in real life? Is she emotionally unavailable? Or am I just being kept emotionally attached without realizing it? I'd really appreciate objective opinions, even if they're hard to hear.
