Women of Reddit, do you usually get turned off by a more serious guy?

Hello there, my first post on this newly found subreddit.

I'll try to be concise, I've always wondered how do you see guys who, at first, are very serious, mainly because I am one. I can be funny but it takes a while to get used to someone and open up more, for people familiar with the MBTI personality types, I'm an INFJ.

I can be terrible at small talk and always dive into more interesting topics that challenge one's mind rather than the usual nonsense, and when it comes to humour, seeing how guys usually approach women seems extremely cringey to me, even if they aren't pick up lines, yet it always seems to work.

A very honest person, ambitious with great self-esteem, yet socially I seem to lack a few things and don't function the way people require me to.

A couple of friends suggest the saying 'fake it until you make it' yet I never want to deceive a person with someone I am not so, is it that important to start off a chat with something funny/witty and avoid delving into more serious topics until more acquainted? I feel it ought to be the opposite.

Have a good day/evening, wherever you may be, stay safe!
