Such an excruciating experience. I’ve experienced so many flavors of it. But heartache always shows it’s face. You can love someone with all your being and soul and they can throw you out on a whim. You can get married to someone who you’ve been with for years and you move in together and they turn into a monster and you have to leave. It’s always a slow burn. Always from the least expected place. It can drive you mad or it can make your day. The most important thing in life is to remember who you’re stuck with for all of it; yourself. So find a partner who brings out a you that you can be proud of. One that holds you softly and cares for you. Or don’t. Be gentle to yourself. Soul mates don’t exist and no one will care about you as much as you do. Never stop or delay your dreams and aspirations for someone else. If they care for you they’ll make it work. Love yourself fiercely and if you so choose, someone else too. Be honest and understanding and your path will lead you where you were meant to be.
