I’ve been seeing this woman for a few weeks now and things have been pretty good. We’ve only been on a few dates, but they’ve gone really well (imo) and it seems like we have solid chemistry. If it’s relevant, we met on a dating app, live about and hour apart and already have an upcoming date planned.
When we’re together things seem really good. She’s very affectionate, pays me lots of compliments and has mentioned several times how much she likes me. We’ve also already been intimate, exchanged valentines gifts and spent the night together even though we’ve only been seeing each other a short while. Great right? Seems like she’s interested in me?
Well, it’s kind of hard to tell actually. When we’re apart she doesn’t really talk to me (via text or otherwise). When she does, she usually makes it a point to end the conversation. Albeit, in an organic and sweet(?) manner. For example, we’ll be texting and she’ll send me something like “have a good day (:” and then stop replying. Sometimes she’ll just go dark without any warning at all.
When this happens, I’ll usually wish her well and shoot her a text the following day. I know I probably shouldn’t “double-text” and risk coming off as clingy or over-interested, but the silence is a bit confusing to me. In person her words and actions seem to indicate that she’s interested in me, but her texting habits suggest otherwise. At this point I’m not sure if I’m actually getting mixed signals or if I’m just overthinking things.
Any advice on the situation would be greatly appreciated!
