I know this girl because we both work in the same place. Its a small coffee shop, and everyone who works here is either still in high school or going through college. The owner is cool with relationships and whatever, and everything is really laid back.
She is two years younger than me (I’m a freshman in college, shes a 18 year old in high school) and we get along pretty well. Im also only home on the weekends because I go to college like an hour or two away.
So our personalities click very well, they always have and its always a lot of fun working there with her (sometimes just us, sometimes with others). We have a couple inside jokes that she always bring up and its always a lot of fun and really easy to talk to her.
We joke around and tease each other a lot, or play jokes on the others who work with us. She first started here a few months ago, and now the more I hang out with her the more Im starting to like her. And I think she may be into me as well.
She laughs at everything I say and we like a lot of the same things. Also she will remember and bring up little details about stuff I mentioned a long time ago or some joke we made that ive completely forgotten.
Whenever she sees me she gets a smile on her face and says hey and more than once now Ive looked up from something and caught her looking my way, or noticed her paying a lot of attention to what im doing.
Like there was this one time I jokingly told one of the others that I went on a date this morning and she perked her head up and looked right over.
Sometimes she will brush her hair back quick while were talking and she always looks me right in the eye and asks a lot of questions.
We text sometimes but it’s usually only when we need something, and she will sometimes Snap me if something relating to one of our jokes, but those interactions are typically pretty quick.
Now do to my school I only see her like once a week, if one of us comes to visit or our work schedules coincide, but I thought that may not be so bad because it shows im not always around, have a life outside of home, etc.
But Id like to ask her to hang outside of work sometime, in which case I could definitely make some time available.
So, im pretty sure she likes me based off all the above evidence, so how should I ask her out? I was thinking of doing something like this next time we happened to be alone together :
“Hey, (name), I gotta be honest, its always a lot of fun hanging out with you here. this might be a little out of nowhere, but do you want to go out with me sometime soon. I think we would have a really fun time”
So, thats just how I may word it off the top of my head. Should I change that up at all or just ask her, and does it sound like she likes me too?
TLDR So does it sound like there is some mutual interest here, and how should I ramp things up a little, start flirting more, and ask her out?
