I met a guy on Zoosk recently & I thought we instantly clicked. Our texts were very long back & forth & we shared a lot of personal stuff with each other. I asked to meet him in person twice & he declined, yet he invited me over to his house in the middle of the night, which I of course declined. In the midst of all of this, he’d say things like he wanted to be close & wanted to get to know me. His actions proved otherwise. When I somewhat called him on it, he said he wasn’t used to meeting really smart girls, so that is why he wanted to back away. I felt like he made an excuse rather than just telling me he wasn’t into me. Then he accused me of thinking he was mediocre and shortly thereafter, he started calling me names. It shocked me. I didn’t deserve that. Unfortunately, part of me had already started wondering if I had finally met my match in him. I’m still baffled & hurt of course, so I’m asking for any & all insight because I’m really not thinking clearly about this yet. Thanks in advance.
