Mid 20s dude here with a great job in a big city. Uncle has a house and I'd rather max my 401K / IRA than live in a studio, so I rent out a fully furnished basement w/ side entrance from him. (Kitchen, shower, etc). Plus he's a cool guy and idk anyone in the city, so we hang out.
There's that whole lives in his mom's basement stereotype, so I'm a bit apprehensive to mention it or bring someone over because as nice as it is, it's still a basement so it's a bit rough around the edges.
I value the ability to save for retirement much more than my own place, but just wondering if it's a big oof, really bad look or whatever.
